Oxygen Forensic Suite 2010 introduces iPhone password-protected backup reader – a new breakthrough module in cell phone forensics. New version also simplifies activation of the product by removing user-based registration and adding USB Dongle option usage. A lot of newest devices including Motorola Droid (Milestone), Samsung Moment, Nokia X6 and Nokia X3 are supported now. What’s new in Oxygen Forensic Suite 2010 v2.6:

• Added new iPhone password-protected backup reader add-on. Supported data extraction from iTunes backups protected by known password for iPhone and iPod devices.
• Added ability to extract data from iPhone backup files without password protection.
• Licensing. User registration system is removed. Added two new licensing systems of the program – an Internet license with hardware binding and a license with USB dongle. See, the short movie on how to update to version 2.6.
• Connection. Renewed devices search algorithm in Oxygen Connection Wizard. Now in the most cases to connect a device it is enough just to choose its connection type.
• Export. Added export to CSV (comma-separated text) and TSV (tab-separated text) formats.
• Added filter for text documents reading in Data Extraction Wizard. It is possible to extract files with .txt, .doc, .docx, .rtf, .pdf, .djvu, .xls, .xlsx, .csv, .ppt, .xps etc extensions.
• Added new ways to contact Oxygen Software support and developers teams – site online consultation and twitter channel.
• Added support for new devices based on Android OS: Android: Motorola Droid (Milestone), Archos Internet Tablet, Camangi WebStation, LG GW620 Eve, Samsung Galaxy, Samsung I5700, Samsung Moment, Samsung Spica, SciPhone N19, SciPhone N21 and Tiger G3.
• Added support for new Nokia Series 60 smartphones: Nokia 6700 Slide, Nokia 6788 and X6.

Several of our customers reported that they fail to install Oxygen Forensic Suite 2. This happened due to AVG antivirus that finds a Themida virus in OxyForensic.exe and OCW3.exe files. During the research that we made we found that four more antivirus products could consider Themida as a virus. Actually, Themida is a software protection system that we use to pack the executable files and protect our software from hacking. We develop software in a safe environment using advanced and more comprehensible antivirus protection systems and we check every build does not contain any suspicious code. Therefore we can assure all of our customers that there are no viruses in our software. To solve the issue in general we have asked AVG and others to remove Themida from black list. On the other hand we are constantly working with Themida developers to customize the protection of our software so even paranoid antiviruses could not find any "viruses" there.

We prepared a special update for all of you who stumbled on that AVG behavior. It's available immediately at your personal customer's area. But to prevent such situations in the future we highly recommend disabling your antivirus system if it blocks Oxygen Forensic Suite installation process.
